Unity is the flagship desktop environment of Ubuntu. Its iconic orange and grey color scheme has earned the place as the most recognizable Linux desktop environment. Traditional Windows users will notice first the placement of the titlebar buttons on the left. While more customizable than GNOME, Unity is still an all inclusive environment with all user desired features delivered right out of the box.
